Note: The Gwillim-Moore genealogy says, "JAMES GREGG was born in 1690 ... He was about forty years old when he left Ireland and his youngest son was about 10 years old. They came to America in 1718 ...." Elsewhere it says that "Elizabeth Gregg, daughter of James Gregg ... was born ca. 1707 ...." This chronology is inconsistent. If James was born in 1690 and came to America in 1718, he would have been only 27 or 28 then. If James was born in 1690 and his youngest son was 10 years old in 1718, James would have had four sons by the time he was 18 years old. If Elizabeth was younger than Thomas (as is implied by the order in which they were listed), she would have been born after 1708.
